Natural perfumery is an ancient art that honours the living essence of plants. Each small-batch perfume oil is handcrafted from pure botanical extracts, essential oils, and absolutes, bound in golden jojoba to create living fragrances that enchant gently with the warmth of the skin.

Each 2ml amber roller bottle contains a complete botanical perfume composition, handcrafted from pure botanical extracts, essential oils, cold-pressed oils, absolutes, and resins. Composed delicately for repeated wearing, they create a temporal relationship with the skin, revealing itself differently each time, as perception shifts with attention.

Much contemporary perfumery is shaped by ideas of projection and longevity. My interest has been in something quieter: how plants speak through fragrance in relationship with the skin.

The Living Scent Portraits emerged from a desire to encounter both plant spirits and perfume differently.

Not to reduce the botanical spirit into profiles of effect and function, nor to commodify them solely for their ability to announce our presence in a room, but for their beauty, creative medicine, character, and capacity to move us.

Some plants linger for a time, others arrive briefly, leaving a trace of memory behind. Neither is superior to the other. Their differing rhythms are part of their beauty.

My work draws upon pure essential oils, botanical absolutes, cold-pressed oils, and resins. The volatility of aromatic oils is grounded by the deep, full-bodied presence of absolutes and resins, allowing each composition to evolve with movement and structure while remaining true to the living nature of its materials.

Alongside botanicals from across the wide and wondrous world, I am continually drawn to celebrating unusual African medicinal flora and materia, from Madagascan Katafray bark to Karoo Incana.

Rather than asking plants to behave like conventional perfumes, I allow them to express their own melodies and communicate with my imagination. This has led me to create a practice I call Perfumery Oils. A meeting place between aromatic medicine, creative storytelling, and an esoteric scent language that moves between composition and meaning.

Creating with plants feels much like composing music. Each material carries its own temperament, rhythm, and voice. My role is not to overpower these qualities but to listen for the harmonies that wish to emerge between them.
