One of my favourite remedies is a Pure Rose Glycerite. For me, I have found that the revelation of the Rose takes place in a slower time in this form (as the heart is in a “slower time” than the mind, fondly referred to as “true time”). I have been soothing myself & loved ones with this for years, it has come to be the backbone of my home apothecary. It is is not technically complicated to make and each batch is wonderfully unique. The magic lies in how you treat your roses for quality and the energy with which you surround the extraction process. I like to commune with roses … eventually harvesting & setting jarred macerations on sheets of lens quartz or flanked by objects I may assign meaning to… for a variety of reasons associated with energetic availability, as the rose grants use of itself as an extract… up until it is time to filter and bottle.
 
There is something undeniably sacred about the mystical rose, our emblematic symbol of love. For interest’s sake, fossil evidence suggests that the rose is about 35 million years old, although the vibration of the rose is beyond measurability of this sort. Deeply associated with miracles, roses appear in accounts from all of the known major religions as a symbol of miraculous love at work in the world, its sacred scent as a reminder. Clairalient experiences with roses, often referred to as the "odour of sanctity”, indicate the presence of spiritual holiness. People have reported smelling the fragrance of roses after praying to saints.
 
The rose has come to symbolise passion, desire, love and devotion within many cultures. With legendary appearances in history, myth, art, and literature, the rose eternally enchants us with visions of spiritual purity, beauty, sensuality, royalty, secrecy, and mysticism. Roses have long been connected with Mary, Rosa Mystica…Magdalene as a Dimension. The red rose symbolic of love, the white rose, of purity. In Persian literature the rose symbolises beauty. The invocation to the Rose is to fulfill itself in every respect in us. As a medicinal plant the rose has much to offer. This medicine works with the four distinct bodies and the seven subtle bodies.
 
Rose Glycerite is an impressive chaperone, supporting us emotionally through states of grief, aiding balance and restoring harmony. Rose is a powerful anti-inflammatory, reducing and soothing inflammation in and on the body, useful for IBS, arthritis and skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis. It is nutrient-rich, astringent and diuretic. Many find it useful for uplifting the spirits in times of depression, soothing sore throats, easing cold symptoms and upset tummies. It’s also anti-spasmodic, a useful treatment for stomach or pre-menstrual cramps.

It can be used to help heal a broken heart, to find calm after trauma and emotional upheaval, restore love without condition, and provide us with a feeling of real comfort and vibrational harmony.
 
The heart is a bridge between the lower and upper chakras integrating the manifest with the spiritual. The frequency of the rose can facilitate bringing the heart into coherence, expanding the energetic field of the heart chakra, Anahata, the door to our inner temple. In Sanskrit, anahata means "unhurt, unstruck, and unbeaten". Anahata Nad refers to the Vedic concept of unstruck sound (the sound of the celestial realm). Anahata is associated with balance, calmness, serenity and serves as our center of love for oneself and others, compassion, empathy and forgiveness. The anahata chakra is associated with unconditional love, compassion, and joy. It is the source of profound truth that cannot be expressed in words. This fourth primary chakra connects the three lower or physical-emotional to the three higher mental-spiritual chakras, aiding in further coherence of the divine human being’s entire energetic system. Encouraging a clearer channel for the cosmic divine by connecting us to our own divinity and the divinity in others. As above, so below. As within, so without.
 
Highly concentrated, alcohol ~ free. You can dose just a few drops directly under the tongue or dilute in glass of water or tea as needed. A few drops may be added to your water bottle, or diluted with water to a spray bottle as a cooling astringent... known for its ability to soothe inflamed conditions (both physical and emotional).
 
I harvest organic & lovingly tended roses, from my own gardens or from those I love.  I personally choose each rose with vibrational discernment, I do not over harvest. My Rose Glycerite is pure, plant-based, and safe for children, adults and all beings.
